The flies of the dump took some getting used to. At night sometimes when I would climb a hill of garbage to get a better camera vantage point I would accidentally disturb a nest of them. They would swarm me in the dark, hundreds of them, sometimes getting into my mouth. People should not have to live this way in 2023.
